The IB Honor Code

Cypress Creek IB students are expected to hold high standards of academic integrity.  With this in mind, the Honor Code has been developed to ensure that ALL work submitted for evaluation by the student is the work of that student only.  Academic dishonesty can inflate the grades and standing of a student who has not put in the necessary time and effort while lowering the standings of the students who work diligently and study.

Students will read and submit an acknowledgement of the IB Honor Code every year.

The IB Late Work Policy

Ø  IB students are infused with the academic integrity that is a fundamental value of universities and colleges (IB Learner Profile, Principled). Therefore, the expectation is students turn their work in on time.

Ø  In the event you are unable to turn your homework in on time, homework submitted one or more days late will earn a grade of no higher than 75%.

o   If the assignment was scored for completion only, the student will received an automatic 75%.

o   If the assignment was scored for content accuracy, the final grade could be lower than 75% dependent upon quality.

Ø  Advanced Notice Assignments are defined as any assignment with a week or more notice prior to the due date. Hard deadlines will be given for these assignments well in advance. Thusly, the expectation is you will submit on time and no credit will be given for late work. However, you must remember that IB tasks are also diploma requirements and you will still need to turn the work in or risk diploma ineligibility.

Ø  If you are absent the day an advanced notice assignment is due, the expectation is you will submit the task early or digitally the day it is due.

Ø  The IB faculty is aware that special circumstances may occur. Communication is key in these situations and it your responsibility to talk to your teachers.

Students will read and submit an acknowledgement of the IB Honor Code every year.
