Welcome to Cypress Creek High School!
Welcome back to this exciting and thriving new school year! I am honored and blessed to be part of the great Cypress Creek High School community. For thirty-three years, I have enjoyed an amazing journey that began when I was an ESOL teacher in a Title I middle school in Perth Amboy, NJ, to now as the proud principal of Cypress Creek HS.I have also had the privilege of leading at the district level as the director of Multilingual Student Education Services. As an assistant principal at Lake Nona High School and as principal of Meadow Woods MS, I help support the vision and mission of OCPS. In 2018, I received the Spirit of Excellence MS Principal Award from the Multilingual Department, became an Innovation school in 2019, and Leader in Me Lighthouse School in 2022. These experiences have truly transformed my life and given me a passion for advocating for all students and positively influencing and supporting teachers, staff, and parents.
This past year has been a remarkable one for Cypress Creek High School. We have achieved a school grade of B, with the highest total points over the last ten years! This success is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaboration of our incredible team of educators, staff, parents and students. Your commitment to our CLAWS values, academic excellence, leadership, and fostering a strengths-minded, whole-student approach has truly made a difference.
As we embark on this new school year, let's continue to build on our achievements and strive for even greater heights. I am excited to see the innovative and inspiring ways you will engage our students and support each other. Together, we can make this year the best one yet, as we Bear Down and THRIVE!
Thank you for your unwavering dedication and passion. Let's make this a BEARmazing year and model our CLAWS values.
In Leadership & Bear Pride,
