OCPS Reads: Adventure Begins at Your Library
Cypress Creek Summer Reading 2024
ALL students will read TWO books, one required by grade level and the 2nd, an appropriate grade-level book that the student chooses. IB & AP students have different assignments. Let's read 51,990 minutes this summer to meet our school GOAL!
BOOK 1:
9th & 10th Graders: I Am Still Alive by Kate Alice Marshall
11th & 12th Graders: Abuela, Don’t Forget Me by Rex Ogle
Both titles are available as an eBook on Sora via LaunchPad or via the Sora mobile app. Students will attend a face-to-face book discussion. Get your discussion done early by attending a discussion on June 20th or July 25th from 11am-12pm. You can also complete one with your English teachers in August.
BOOK 2:
Students will read a book of their choice and complete a their grade-level
project by Tuesday, September 3rd. Specific directions are below.
